On May 7th, Mr. H and I will be running a 5K in DC called The Race for Hope which is raising money for brain cancer and brain tumor research. This is a cause very near and dear to my heart. Two of my grandparents passed away from brain tumors. My mom’s mom and my dad’s dad both had malignant brain tumors when they were in their 70s. I’d like to do all I can do to find some hope for this disease. If you’d like to check out our team page, please click below :

I hope you enjoyed your spring break. I stayed home and it was wonderful. Mr. H and I have been on the go nonstop lately so it was nice not to travel. I took full advantage of the gorgeous weather. I went on lots of runs on the Green Way, did a good amount of yard work and gardening, cooked and ate lots of food, visited with family, and did lots of reading.
We had a great first day back from spring break. The kiddos were able to get right back into the routine and did amazing. We started a new unit in math on three dimensional shapes and the students had a great time with it. We are looking forward to a fun week of learning. My favorite part of spring is seeing the Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC. Mr. H and I got engaged during Cherry Blossom Festival in 2010 so this time of year is still very special to me. We lived in DC for 7 years and never missed a year seeing the Cherry Blossoms. |
